1.3 Metal Clay Ring with Fire in Place Stones

DESCRIPTION:

Make a metal clay, flat band ring that is American size 7.5 (or equivalent) after sintering and features multiple, faceted stones which have been fired in place.

Stones may be man-made or natural and should be securely and attractively set. Both the band and the settings must be made of metal clay and the insides of the band must be smooth and seamless. The style of the ring and final finishing details are up to the maker.

The challenge submission form will ask you for the type of clay used for the shank and why it was a good material for the job.

Commercial ring forming molds are not appropriate for this challenge.
