2.5 Metal Clay Paper

DESCRIPTION:

Commercially manufactured metal clay paper is a unique material that doesn’t dry out, is flexible, foldable, can be embossed, woven, quilled, and cut into complex shapes. Make a pair of earrings that take advantage of these special properties. The completed work must be more innovative than just a punched shape with an earring hole. Durability and post firing finishing options should be taken into consideration when conceiving the original design.

Paper elements may be appliquéd onto a lump clay substrate, but thin sheets of flexible lump clay cannot be substituted for commercially manufactured paper. The challenge submission form will ask for a photo of the paper clay in its unopened packaging.
