3.2 Bezel Set Cab
DESCRIPTION:
Make a necklace consisting of three or more metal clay elements. At least one must be embellished with a bezel set cabochon which must be set after firing. The elements can be joined into a necklace with chain, wire wraps, strung beads, etc. The bezel may be formed with metal clay or made of commercially manufactured wire or sheet metal, and it may be co-fired, attached in a second firing, or soldered onto sintered metal. Ready-made bezel cups are not appropriate for this challenge. The accompanying challenge submission form will ask for a photo of the work before adding the bezel and a description of the technique you used to attach the bezel to help Evaluators better understand your process.
