4.6 Deconstructed Vessel
DESCRIPTION:
Make, dry, and finish as greenware, two (or more) different hollow forms or bead shapes. Next, deconstruct them using a saw, craft blade, or your fingers, and then reinterpret and reassemble the parts to create a vessel of any kind. A scent bottle, bud vase, footed bowl, or similar would all be acceptable.
This challenge is designed to illustrate how complex structures can be produced by joining a number of individual components. Well-made and secure seams are important. Texture, finish, and embellishments are up to the maker. The accompanying challenge submission form will ask for a photo of the complete, individual, greenware forms before they were deconstructed.
