Patrice has been an educator for 37 years. She has been a maker for as long as she can remember, beginning with doll clothing, collage, jewellery and assemblage. She is fascinated with the combination of different materials, traditional and non, and is well known for her reversible metal
clay pendants.
Patrice is currently an instructor for third year students in the goldsmithing program at Georgian college. She also mentors high school students who have chosen jewellery making for their independent study course.
From her beautiful studio in Ontario Canada, Patrice teaches a variety of classes from beginner to advanced in metal clay, etching, and resin jewellery. She maintains a mentor relationship with any of her students who wish to pursue their work independently. She is a repeat guest instructor at numerous schools across North America.
Patrice is a jury selection member of the Elora Fergus Studio Tour. She was also a jury member for the AMCAW story telling challenge.
Patrice is one of 4 members of the Advanced Studies Team for AMCAW. Her unique work has recently been recognized with two Best In Show awards and selected for a variety of calendars, and publications such as the 500 book series. She has PMC Rio Grande and Camp PMC certification and also holds accreditation for Art Clay.
